PerfectDigestTM FPI (Swine)
PerfectDigestTM FPI Feed Products are based on Fish Peptide + Nucleotide Isolates (FPI).
Years of research in Norway and Denmark have proven the benefits of peptides
in numerous young animal feed applications. European and American studies have shown
them to provide 3-6% Yield Increases (weight gain) when compared to
plasma/whey at similar inclusion rates during phases 1-3.
Each farm and feed regimen is different, but as a general rule of thumb,
replacement of 50% of the “Blood Plasma” with FPI Peptides + Nucleotides provides maximum benefit.
For Antibiotic Free farms, there are also excellent reductions in mortality, essentially due to early improvement of the GI tract – but some research also theorises that peptides act as ‘natural antibiotics’.
- Our Denmark affiliate has shown positive immune responses as a result of the FPI inclusion in such diets – average weight gains of 1.5kg (3.3lbs) at day 49 and up to 80% reduction in early mortality.
- When FPI is included at 1-2%, replacing Blood Plasma, the use cost is approximately neutral.
